How long does a Cymatherapy session take?
When scheduling a cymatherapy session you will be asked to allow 30 minutes.   Sometimes you may need 45-60 minutes, if there is a fair amount of work to be done.  You will be asked to stay up to 15 minutes following the session to "ground" yourself before driving or taking part in your everyday activities.  You are not charged for this "recovery" time and tea, water, light snacks are provided to you to help you get grounded once again following your session.  Not everyone needs this time - it depends on how sensitive you are to the changes in energy flows within your body.  It's just best to plan on the time in case you feel the need to "sit for a bit."

Do I ever lose consciousness during a  Cymatherapy session ?
No.  During a session you are fully conscious and remain fully conscious - but often the client becomes very relaxed during the session. As your body's energy becomes more in balance often clients will feel energized or revitalized.

Do I need to change into any special clothing or disrobe for the session?
No.  You stay in whatever you wear to the session - it is suggested that you wear something very comfortable to you, and loose-fitting is best.

What can I expect to happen during my session?
A practitioner will discuss with you the reason for your session and then place you in a comfortable and appropriate position.  Tuning forks will be either touched to the point(s) on your body for balancing or passed over/around the body.  There will be low lighting,  sometimes the light colors may change, some soft music may be playing, and possibly some aromatherapy (incense or oil), if agreed upon.  There is minimal physical contact - just placement and removal of end of tuning fork.  There is no massage or prolonged physical contact.

Can I bring someone with me?
You may bring an adult with you, if desired, but whether they will accompany you into the session is determined on a case-by-case basis. Generally, the session includes the client and practitioner.  Children are not allowed in the session nor are they to be left waiting for you as they can become a distraction to the client.

Is there an age requirement?
There is no age requirement in order to participate in a  cymatherapy session.  When any
child is a client a parent/legal guardian is present with them during their entire session.   We ask that you not bring siblings to avoid distractions and to allow our undivided attention to the child participating in the session.

Is the session confidential?
Absolutely.  That is why having someone else in the session room other than practitioner (or parent/guardian) is on a case-by-case basis.  We place our highest priority on confidentiality for all of our clients participating in any of our offered therapies.

How much does a Cymatherapy session cost and is it covered by insurance?
One cymatherapy session is $45.00 for a 30-minute session.  Each additional 15 minutes is at a $15 rate.  At the beginning of a regimen for a chronic issue the session can last 45-60 minutes.  A booking fee of $25.00 is due at time of scheduling via PayPal or other pre-approved method.  Remainder of payment is due at time of session.  If you must cancel your appointment, we request a minimum of 24 hours notice.  Last minute cancellations and no-shows will forfeit booking fee.  At this time, cymatherapy is not covered under medical insurance plans.  We do offer a variety of therapy packages at varied prices and payment plans.          See our                 page for more information.

at a variable and unsynchronized frequencies.  When this happens to our body, originating in our energy field, it can be manifested as dis-ease.   This manifestation of dis-ease can be mentally, emotionally, spiritually or physically.

One set of very powerful tools that can be used to assist in shifting the vibrations of our whole energy system is tuning forks.  Tuning forks are made of a special  aluminum alloy, and when struck, generate different sound frequencies which can be applied on different parts of the body or passed above/around it.  This modality, or therapy, is referred to as sound therapy—or as I have called it—cymatherapy.  Cymatherapy, or therapy using cymatics (another name for sound vibrations), uses vibrational resonance to produce energetic benefits through a process known as vibrational entrainment.  In vibrational entrainment, the frequencies can become synchronized, where the primary vibration (tuning fork) can cause the secondary vibration (in body or energy field) to resonate at the same frequency.  Vibrations always seek the highest, or most resonant vibration to entrain with.  So if your body is in a state of dissonance, it will seek to entrain with the pure, resonant vibration of the tuning fork.

As the tuning fork’s sound waves travel through the body/energy field, they establish new patterns of balance, which brings the negative (dis-ease) patterns into a more healthy, harmonious resonance.  A ripple effect takes place while this vibrational shift works at a cellular level, encouraging the body to return to its natural state of homeostasis.  This is facilitated by the fact that sound frequencies travel easily through and entrain well with water—and our body is almost 70% water!  These vibrational changes are enhanced by unblocking that occurs along our many meridian pathways, as well as working with the chakras, enabling the body to re-distribute it’s own healing energy to the places most in need.

Cymatherapy benefits are many, indeed. Most common physical effects are relief from pain, tension release, calming of the nervous system, relaxation, boosting the immune system and energizing of the body.  An example of emotional support can be an uplifting of the spirit in times of deep sorrow, grief or depression.  As our energy field resonates in a more harmonious state, the vibrational effects are beneficial to our body, mind, and spirit—enhancing overall wellness.

FAQ's Regarding Cymatherapy

As stated on our home page, all life and all matter within all of creation is made up of energy and exists only due to resonating at some level of vibration.  All vibration has an effect on our physicality, thus on our wellness.   A lack of harmony of vibrational waves, or dissonance, can be found both inside and outside the body's energy field.  This dissonance is caused by particles vibrating
